This year, the TSA has re-introduced its popular festive greeting card design competition, giving one lucky person the opportunity to have their festive design printed and sold as part of our range of cards and goodies during the holiday season. We’re now delighted to confirm the winner!
After lots of discussions from our panel of judges, with the standard of the competition exceedingly high, the wonderful design painted by 10-year-old Jasmine Ferguson has been selected as our winner! Jasmine’s card is now available to purchase along with the rest of the TSA’s festive range of cards and goodies.
Jasmine loves to spend her free time drawing, with her talent clearly on show in her design. Robins are Jasmine’s favourite bird to watch in her garden, which was her main inspiration. Jasmine also loves seeing beautiful Christmas lights, so she decided to put the two together.
Jasmine’s brother, Leo is 7-years-old and lives with TSC. Leo was diagnosed with TSC at aged 2, after he started to have seizures. Jasmine says this used to worry her, but now she is more used to it and knows that Leo will be OK afterwards. Leo’s mum, Caroline, describes Leo as an amazing boy, who will always bounce back to his normal self after a seizure. Caroline says that the whole family are very proud of both Leo and Jasmine!
When Leo was first diagnosed, Caroline and the family found that the TSA was a great source of information, especially as they had never heard of TSC before. Now, Caroline finds the TSA brilliant at keeping TSC families like them up-to-date with information, including new research and potential new treatments.
Caroline, Jasmine and the whole family are proud Jasmine, and that her design will help to raise vital funds for the TSC community.
Jasmine wishes everyone a very Merry Christmas!
