Give as you earn with payroll giving

Make payday mean more with payroll giving

Donating a portion of your salary is one of the most efficient, tax-effective ways to support a charity. Payroll giving (or ‘Give as you earn’) is a really easy way for employees who are paid by Pay As You Earn (PAYE) to give regularly to charities, like the TSA.

Choose us for your payroll giving, and your regular donations will provide us with reliable support. This will mean that we can we can focus on our important work across support and information, research and advocacy.

How it works

Setting up payroll giving is quick and simple.

Every time you’re paid, a donation amount of your choice is taken from your pay before tax is deducted. This means that, if you donate £5 per month to us, it will only cost you £4 on basic tax rate or £3 on the higher rate.

Please note that payroll giving is only available for salaried PAYE employees. To find out more, visit the HM Revenue and Customs website.

How to get started

To sign-up for payroll giving, speak to your workplace payroll team to see if your company offers a give as you earn scheme. They will then explain the process and ask you to complete a form.

If your employer is not already part of a payroll giving scheme, ask them to start one! They can access clear and simple information about setting up a payroll giving scheme on the UK Government website.

“I give to the TSA in honour of my brother Harry who suffered from TSC. Donating via my payroll is such a simple way to do that.”
