The TSA is incredibly sad to hear the news, over the weekend of January 13/14 2018, that TAND researcher Loren Leclezio has passed away.

Working with Petrus de Vries at the University of Cape Town, Loren was funded by the TSA to undertake the PhD Studentship ‘Understanding and Treating TSC-Associated Neuropsychiatric Disorders (TAND)’ and was the first ever recipient of the Ann Hunt Career Development Award.

Loren was making a huge contribution to our understanding of TAND. She will be remembered for her energy, warmth and compassion for the TSC community.

Our thoughts and condolences go to Loren’s husband Fred, her two young children and her wider family. Her friends and colleagues at the University of Cape
Town are also in our thoughts.

An obituary is being prepared and we will share this with our community as soon as we can.

If you would like to leave any messages of condolence for Loren’s family then please feel free to post your comments on our Facebook page

https://www.facebook.com/thetsauk/ after the announcement about Loren. We will ensure
that all your comments are then passed on to her loved ones.
