Last month saw a fantastic turn-out for our annual Tea & SCones for TSC campaign. Here, we share some highlights of the week with you!

Tea & SCones for TSC is all about drinking tea, baking/eating scones (or any treats you fancy) and raising awareness about TSC and the TSA with everyone you know. At the same time, you help us raise much needed funds so that the TSA can continue in our vital work supporting people affected by TSC.

A massive thank you to everyone who has got involved so far and raised some ‘dough’!

Remember, it’s never too late to host your own event, just contact us at fundraising@tuberous-sclerosis.org for more information on how to get started – how about a strawberry and scone-themed summer garden party?

Here is Victoria Mair Collins during her brilliant get-together at Thornhill Primary School! A big thank you to Victoria and everyone at Thornhill, who raised £100!
Jack Gray and The Little Acorn School had a bug-themed biscuit fundraiser, coinciding with their study of creepy crawlies! The baking raised just over £300 to support people affected by TSC. Excellent!

Huge thanks go to Sue Miles-Pearson and everyone a the University of Roehampton, who got involved with Sue’s cake sale and raffle, bringing in £321! Sue was inspired to organise the day in honour of Sue’s granddaughter.

Sally Turnbull held her Tea & SCones afternoon at her home in Nottingham, supporting her granddaughter by helping to raise £220. Well done Sally!
Huge thanks to Craig Ireland and everyone at Mears Care in Alloa, who raised over £70 and made these amazing TSA cupcakes!
Becky Faverzani put on a pop-up café at Coleg Gwent, raising over £345. A massive thank you to Becky and everyone who helped on the day.
Jan Baynes and Anne Wells raised an epic £1,105 by hosting a Tea & SCones cake sale at their local community centre, which included some of Jan’s special peanut butter and choc chip cookies, yum!

It’s not just the TSC community who got involved with Tea & SCones for TSC, with TSA researchers and clinicians also baking and fundraising!

Emily Cooper, who is a TSC clinic nurse specialist, collected a fantastic £90 from her Tea & SCones event at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham!
A huge thank you to the Northern Ireland Regional Team in Belfast City Hospital, who held very successful Tea & SCones morning and raised a wonderful £100 from the generous staff.
A huge thank you to Elaine Dunlop and the TSC Research team at Cancer and Genetics at Cardiff University. They held a Tea & SCones bake sale and raised £79!

Have you organised a Tea & SCones for TSC event? We’d love to see pictures of the day and to tell everyone about it! Get in contact: fundraising@tuberous-sclerosis.org.
