The Observer newspaper has run an article on a letter signed by 30 members of the Specialised Healthcare Alliance (SHCA) including the Tuberous Sclerosis
Association calling on the Prime Minister Theresa May to address NHS underfunding to tackle the rationing of treatment.

Responding to the letter, a government spokesperson is reported in the article to have said “blanket restrictions on treatment are unacceptable and
that the clinical needs of a patient, and the urgency with which they require treatment, must come first.” They go on to point to the additional
investment made available by the Government to fund the NHS.
