The TSA is delighted to announce that the Welsh Info Day will take place on Saturday 28 September 2019 at University Hospital of Wales, Heath Park, Cardiff.
The Welsh Info Day is an opportunity for the TSC community in Wales to get together to hear and participate in a range of interesting talks and networking sessions, all focused around living with TSC and being a resident in Wales.
A wide range of TSA and external speakers are planned for the event, including Emma Hughes (Policy and Engagement Manager, Genetic Alliance Wales) and the Cardiff TSC clinic. A healthy portion of the day’s agenda will allow for group discussions and networking, so that old and new friends alike can get to know others who understand the impact of TSC in Wales.
Louise Fish, Chief Executive of the TSA, commented: “Hosting flagship events for TSC communities across the different UK nations is one of the central points of the TSA’s new five-year strategy to ‘REACH more people and drive more REseArCH.’ The Welsh Info Day is an important part of this, where people living in Wales can meet other individuals and families living with TSC and discuss how best to access treatments, care and support in Wales specifically.”
The TSA last hosted a Cardiff event at the 2018 Cardiff Study Day, where clinicians and community members alike discussed the latest TSC research and shared their personal TSC stories, all with a Wales focus.
More information on the event, including an agenda and how to book tickets, will be announced very soon.
