The TSA Support Fund is our emergency grant for people in the TSC community, providing emergency support when the financial costs of being affected by TSC become too much to handle. Following a massive number of enquiries, we’re now struggling to keep the fund open.
We’ve proudly provided grants for lots of different things to those in the TSC community in financial crisis. This includes household items like carpets and beds, to respite holidays and costs towards hospital visits. However, demand for the TSA Support Fund is now at levels we’ve never seen before and we need your support.
We’ve so far received double the number of applications compared to last year, and our support fund pot is running very low. If this continues, we’ll be forced to pause the fund – we need the TSC community to help us, so we can help you.
“The wheelchair is fabulous. It is so much lighter than the old one and the wheels are thicker too which will help getting about on the muddy trails where my daughter likes collecting leaves and pine cones. Thank you, this will make our lives so much easier.”
“This year we have been fortunate enough to receive funding for a new bed for Will. Due to Will’s TSC and his epilepsy I had to give up full time work when Will was young so finding extra money for things like a new bed is not as easy. We are extremely grateful for the TSA fund as the new bed will give William the safety he needs at night.”
We do everything that we can to work hard, support and be here for the TSC community, including the TSA Support Fund which we’re proud to offer. We typically rely on funding gifts from trusts, foundations and individual donors to fill up the TSA Support Fund pot, but we’re now at the limit and have already extended the fund’s reserves.
“I cannot tell you how hard financially things have been for us and without the help and support from the TSA we couldn’t get the essential items that we so desperately needed.”
If we’re to keep the TSA Support Fund open all year, we need your support. Please click here to donate to our TSA Support Fund appeal.
