The Tuberous Sclerosis Association (TSA) announces that, as from 1 May 2013, Jane Cox will step down as Head of Research, while continuing research work relating to Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC).
In a statement, Dr Chris Kingswood, who will continue in an advisory role as a Trustee, said: “Jane has made, and will I am sure continue to make, an enormous contribution to TSC research. That contribution will now take the form of pure research rather than research management. The TSC community is very grateful that she will continue to work for us in this different rôle.”
TSA Chair Philip Goldenberg said: “On behalf of the TSA, I echo Chris Kingswood’s appreciation of Jane’s valuable contribution both in the past and, I am sure, in the future. She is a pillar of the TSC community.
“Dr Jayne Spink, as Chief Executive Officer, will assume the functions of TSA Head of Research until a successor is appointed and comes into post. I am very grateful to her for undertaking this additional responsibility on an interim basis.”
