The All Wales Medicines Strategy Group (AWMSG) – who advise Welsh Government about the use, management and prescribing of medicines in Wales – is considering whether to recommend Votubia® (everolimus) for treatment of TSC-associated epilepsy. We need YOUR help to show AWMSG the impact of TSC-associated epilepsy on individuals and families.
The TSA has been working hard with clinicians in Wales, the Cardiff TSC Clinic and AWMSG on everolimus access in Wales. If you live with partial-onset TSC-associated seizures that have not responded to standard treatment, you can help us to show what access to everolimus in Wales could mean for the TSC community.
Please complete this short and easy questionnaire, and help to make a big difference in our work to get access to everolimus in Wales.
Everolimus is already recommended for use in TSC-related epilepsy elsewhere in the UK, and you can find out more about these recommendations here. Some TSC community members living in Wales may already be accessing everolimus through NHS TSC clinics based in England, but a positive decision by the AWMSG would help to ensure fair and equal access for everyone living in Wales.
