#TeamTSA at the London Marathon raises a record-breaking £24,720 to support the TSC community!
Last weekend, nine amazing individuals took on the London Marathon 2024 to improve lives in the TSC community. All of their hard work was worth it, with over £24,000 raised for the TSA – the most ever raised by #TeamTSA at the London Marathon!
Runners included people with TSC, as well as friends, families and parents of people in the TSC community. Behind every step and stride of our runners is a story: A reason why they chose to embark on the challenge of a marathon, and pushing themselves to support the TSA.
A strong spirit of togetherness was forged between our amazing runners, as they trained throughout the year for this momentous moment. The TSA was sure to be with them every stop of the way, with our fundraising team cheering them on throughout their training! This sense of camaraderie was fostered through group chats with the runners, where the nine shared their progress, exchanged tips, and lifted each other up through every step of the journey!
The London Marathon 2024 itself was also a day full of records, with more than 50,000 finishers and the women’s-only world record being broken. The event itself is on course to raise more money for charities as a whole than in any other year.
