The importance of telling others your Tuberous Sclerosis Complex story, or offering your skills and expertise to the Tuberous Sclerosis Association
Do you or a loved one have a connection to Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC)?
You could make a significant contribution to increasing awareness and support for people living with TSC by sharing your story or lending the Tuberous Sclerosis Association (TSA) your expertise.
We are always on the lookout for people to share their story or expertise – here, we highlight some of the reasons why this is so vital to increasing awareness of TSC and improving the lives of people living with the condition.
Share your story
By sharing yours or a loved one’s TSC story, you can help:
- Raise awareness of the impact of TSC. For those who do not live with TSC on a daily basis, the impact of TSC on the lives of individuals, families and whole communities can be difficult to understand. Your personal story can make them see that TSC is a real condition that challenges thousands of people every day
- People affected by TSC feel less alone. Reading your story can remind others in the TSC community that we are all together in the fight to provide help for today and a cure for tomorrow
- Inspire people to donate or fundraise. Learning more about the impact of TSC could be the catalyst that drives someone to make a donation or fundraise to help improve the lives of people living with TSC
Share your expertise
As a small charity with only limited resources, the TSA can benefit greatly from individuals and groups who are kind enough to offer expertise or resources beyond financial assistance that can help us improve the lives of people living with TSC.
We are always on the lookout for people who can offer expertise into professional fields (including but not limited to legal, financial, design, marketing and advertising).
If you think that you might have a useful skill or possess knowledge in an area we can benefit from, please get in touch.
