Virtual event: TSC and lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM).
Around three in every 10 women who live with TSC, and a very small number of males, also develop complications in the lungs, called ‘lymphangioleiomyomatosis’ (or ‘LAM’). The impact and severity that LAM can have on a person varies significantly amongst individuals living with TSC, with problems ranging from shortness of breath and coughing to chest pain or a collapsed lung.
In this free virtual event, we welcome Professor Simon Johnson (LAM National Centre Director) to discuss the condition in more detail, what it can mean for people who live with the condition day-to-day, and what next steps people with TSC and LAM may have.
Taking place on Tuesday 23 November, 6pm – 7pm, this free event will also include a question and answer section – giving you the chance to put your LAM questions to Professor Johnson.
‘TSC and LAM’ is free to register and attend. Once registered, you will receive details through email on how to join the session, within 24 hours of the event taking place.
More information on TSC and LAM can be found here, or by contacting the TSA Support Line.
