Power of attorney is a way of giving someone you trust the legal authority to make decisions on your behalf if you’re not able, or no longer able, to make them yourself
For our March virtual event, Renaissance Legal will tell us all about power of attorney and decision-making from the perspective of the law. If you are a parent or carer of a child or young person who may not be able to make decision about their welfare and finances now or in the future, you will need to consider the best ways to protect them as they move into adulthood.
TSA is partnering with Renaissance Legal to deliver a free 1 hour webinar about decision making for disabled or vulnerable people. Renaissance Legal’s leading expert Philip Warford will talk through who can make decisions on behalf of another person, the key principles of the Mental Capacity Act 2005, who can make Powers of Attorney and how the Court of Protection might help.
Please note that Renaissance Legal will be using their own Zoom account to lead on this event. By signing up to the event, you confirm that you are comfortable with Renaissance Legal having the details that you share.
If you benefit from this or other TSA events, please make a recurring or one-off donation if you can so that we can continue all of our work.
