Controller Modz UK
We’re delighted to spotlight Controller Modz UK, an online retailer specializing in custom gaming controllers, for their outstanding support of the TSA. Owned by James, Controller Modz has shown a strong commitment to our cause and is helping make a meaningful impact on the TSC community. One of their latest initiatives includes adding a Donate at Checkout option on their website, encouraging customers to make a donation to the TSA whenever they purchase a custom controller. This feature not only supports TSA but also raises awareness of Tuberous Sclerosis Complex within the gaming community, helping us reach new audiences in a unique and innovative way.

Coveris
We’re excited to celebrate Coveris, a leader in flexible and sustainable packaging solutions, and their Burnley branch for selecting the TSA as their Charity of the Year for 2024! The team at Coveris Burnley has already shown incredible dedication to supporting the TSC community by hosting a series of fantastic fundraising events.
Kicking off their efforts, the Burnley team organized a summer bake sale for their staff, offering a delightful variety of cakes and treats. This event was met with enthusiasm and raised an impressive £284.83. Building on this success, approximately 30 staff members came together for a charity walk, raising an incredible £1,650 in support of the TSA.

David Suchet Author
We are incredibly grateful for the longstanding support of David Suchet, the esteemed actor and passionate advocate for the TSA. Over the years, David has dedicated his time and energy to raising awareness of Tuberous Sclerosis Complex and the TSA’s mission.
In 2019, David released his heartfelt photography book, “David Suchet: Behind the Lens”, which uniquely blends his love for photography with his life journey. Reflecting on the book, David shared, “I’ve been asked many times over the years whether I would write my autobiography, but I have never been sufficiently tempted to put pen to paper until now. Behind the Lens is not just an autobiography but an opportunity for readers to really get to know me and the sort of person I am. Through my photographs, and the accompanying stories, you will see the world through my eyes.”
The book launched with a fantastic exhibition of David’s photographs at the Leica Gallery in London, where he announced that he would generously donate the profits from Behind the Lens to the TSA. This incredible act of kindness directly supports our research efforts, bringing us closer to advancements that will impact the TSC community.

EAC Telford
We're proud to recognize EAC Telford, an independent garage, and its dedicated owner Mark Kettle for their steadfast support of the Tuberous Sclerosis Association. Mark has been instrumental in securing significant donations from the Masterserve Foundation, including a generous £6,411.63 contribution in 2023.
Mark’s passion for raising awareness about Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC) shines through in all his efforts, from corporate fundraising events to family-led initiatives. The family has participated in numerous fundraising activities, embodying an inspiring commitment to the TSC community.

Equistone
Equistone, a private equity firm and longstanding supporter of the TSA, has demonstrated exceptional commitment to the TSC community over several years. In 2020, Equistone selected the TSA as their Charity of the Year after a colleague, CJ, received news that her child had been diagnosed with Tuberous Sclerosis Complex. This decision was met with unanimous support from Equistone’s Charity Committee, and the team’s passion for supporting TSA has continued to grow since then.
When the pandemic prevented in-person fundraising events, Equistone’s UK team embraced the challenge with resilience and creativity, shifting to online activities and indoor challenges. Their spirit of camaraderie shone through, from climbing the equivalent of Mount Everest’s elevation (8,846 meters) on their home staircases, often in fancy dress, to hosting online quizzes. Despite the year’s challenges, Equistone raised an impressive £45,000 in support of the TSA.
Beyond this extraordinary effort, Equistone has also pledged £500 to TSA’s 2024 Big Give Christmas Challenge and donated the use of their meeting room to support TSA’s mission.
"We’re a close-knit team, so supporting CJ and her family has been important to us,” shared Annette Ratcliffe from Equistone’s Charity Committee. “TSA is a small charity where our contributions can make a real difference, which has been particularly meaningful to us.”

Evolve Fieldwork
We’re pleased to highlight Evolve Fieldwork for their valuable contributions to the TSA and the TSC community. Evolve Fieldwork has worked closely with our research team on an important study, exploring caregivers’ experiences with a medication used to treat symptoms of Tuberous Sclerosis Complex.
In addition to their research support, they are expanding their commitment by organizing a fundraising campaign this winter. Following a TSA webinar, Evolve Fieldwork will launch a festive raffle as part of their fundraising efforts, engaging their partner networks to raise vital funds for the TSA.

Foresters Financial
We are thrilled to feature Foresters Financial, a company providing affordable and flexible financial solutions since 1874, as a valued supporter of the TSA. To celebrate their 150th anniversary, Foresters Financial launched a Big Give contest, offering £50,000 donations to three charities across Canada, the USA, and the UK. We are honoured that the TSA was selected as the UK charity for this incredible gift!
The selection process involved Foresters members nominating charities and sharing videos about why each cause was meaningful to them. Lorraine Boffa, with her sister Rebecca Cave-Brown—mum to little Tommy, who has TSC, and big sister Ruby—created a heartfelt video highlighting TSC’s impact and the TSA’s crucial role in people’s lives. With over 400 video entries in the contest, the TSA emerged as the winning charity, thanks to their powerful story and the amazing support of the TSC community.

We’re excited to highlight Giffgaff, the innovative mobile service provider that empowers its members to give back. Giffgaff’s unique Payback Points program allows customers to accumulate points, which they can cash in, use as credit, or donate to charity. Twice a year, Giffgaff members are invited to nominate charities to receive a portion of the charity fund, which Giffgaff generously matches.
In 2024, the TSA was honoured to receive 10 nominations from Giffgaff members and ranked third among 39 nominated charities, resulting in a wonderful donation of £5,648.40. This support from Giffgaff’s community is invaluable, helping us further our mission and reach more individuals affected by Tuberous Sclerosis Complex.

Hiscox
We’re thrilled to spotlight Hiscox, a specialist insurer providing tailored solutions for businesses and homeowners, for their exceptional support of the TSA. In 2021, the London Market Operations team at Hiscox selected the TSA as their Charity of the Year, dedicating themselves to a year of creative and inspiring fundraising challenges.
Throughout the year, the Hiscox team took on ambitious activities to raise funds and awareness, including the Thames Path Marathon and a “Survival of the Fittest” challenge, where members tackled personal health goals like going alcohol-free, adopting a vegetarian diet, and running 100k over one month. Each challenge demonstrated their commitment, resilience, and enthusiasm for supporting the TSC community.
To amplify their efforts, the Hiscox Foundation generously match-funded the team’s fundraising achievements, bringing the total raised to an impressive £6,640. We are incredibly grateful to the Hiscox London Market Operations team and the Hiscox Foundation for their creativity, dedication, and meaningful impact on the TSC community. John Lewis, Logic Park (Leeds)
The John Lewis, Logic Park team spent 2019 fundraising for the TSA, a cause close to the teams heart as team member Jamie has a daughter has the condition.
A 20 strong team of John Lewis partners took on the 12km total warrior obstacle run course, the event brought the whole team together even those who decided to stay clean but travelled to the event to support the team by cheering them on and bringing snacks and drinks for the exhausted team. Bringing employees together around a single cause has been incredibly valuable and promoted a lot of cross-team working. Over the year the team raised an amazing £3650!
Lendlease
We’re delighted to highlight Lendlease, a global real estate leader, for their generous support of the TSA. In 2019, Lendlease Guvnors Club members John and Valerie Powers, who are part of the TSC community, nominated the TSA as a beneficiary of the prestigious Guvnors Club Ball. This incredible event brought together their community members and supporters to raise vital funds for our cause.
Thanks to the Powers’ heartfelt nomination and the dedication of everyone involved, the Guvnors Club Ball was a tremendous success, raising an impressive £12,000 for the TSA. This generous contribution has had a lasting impact on our work, helping fund essential resources and services for the TSC community.

Novartis
Novartis supported us with an unrestricted educational grant used to fund a study day for health, social care and education professionals who support those living with TSC and their families.
Based on conversations with professionals who attended the event, the TSA also produced a range of factsheets aimed at GPs, social workers, residential care workers and teachers to help them tailor their practice when working with those affected by TSC and their siblings to learn about TSC and its symptoms. produced without this generous donation.
Pavers
We’re proud to spotlight Pavers, one of the UK’s leading shoe retailers known for its dedication to comfort, value, and customer happiness, for their incredible support of the TSA. Through their employee grant program, Pavers has made multiple £1,000 donations to the Tuberous Sclerosis Association, supporting vital awareness and fundraising efforts.
This partnership was made possible by Alison Read, a Sales Advisor at Pavers in Hatfield and a passionate advocate for the TSC community. Alison’s grandson, Max, was diagnosed with TSC before the age of one, which inspired her to apply for funding from the Pavers Foundation. The grant supports causes close to the hearts of Pavers colleagues, making Alison’s request to raise awareness of TSC especially meaningful. “My grandson Max was diagnosed with TSC before the age of one. Not a lot of people have heard of the condition, so I’m wanting to make more people aware as it is a life-threatening illness,” Alison shares.
The Hatfield store has also actively raised funds for the TSA through in-store events, with the Pavers Foundation’s grant matching their efforts. We’re immensely grateful to Pavers, Alison, and the entire Hatfield team for their dedication and generosity. Softcat
We’re grateful to Softcat, a leading IT company and a valued supporter of the Tuberous Sclerosis Association for their generous and ongoing support! . Beyond generously donating IT equipment, Softcat has raised significant funds through innovative fundraising campaigns. Their ‘£1 per click’ initiative invited everyone to engage on their website, with Softcat pledging £1 for each click. This campaign raised over £10,000, spreading positivity and reaching new audiences as our community shared the campaign far and wide.
In 2020, when Softcat’s annual May Day Ball couldn’t take place due to the pandemic, they generously redirected the event's £20,000 proceeds to support TSA’s mission. This substantial contribution allowed us to continue vital services during a challenging time.

The Birds Nest Café
We’re delighted to spotlight The Bird’s Nest, a family-owned café nestled in the vibrant, award-winning Shrewsbury Market Hall. Established in 2011, The Bird’s Nest has become a beloved part of the local community—and a strong supporter of the TSA. As members of the TSC community themselves, Owner Elliot and the team have shown exceptional commitment to raising awareness and support for the TSA in creative and impactful ways.
At The Bird’s Nest, customers can support the TSA through donation collections at the café as they order food and drinks, contributing to a cause that makes a real difference. On top of this, The Bird’s Nest makes a monthly donation to the TSA, reinforcing their ongoing dedication. Looking ahead, they’re planning to introduce a special menu item where a portion of each sale will go directly to the TSA, offering an easy and delicious way for patrons to support our mission.
