It’s a once in a lifetime experience and we’d love to have you join us.  \nEvent details\n\nDates: Any date that suits you\nLocation: Across the UK\nRegistration fee: £70\nMinimum sponsorship: £395*\n\n* NB -Airfield costs can vary slightly and this can affect your minimum sponsorship amount required. \nOur skydive provider Skyline has airfields located across the UK. Once you’ve decided on your location\, simply pick a date that works for you and pay your £70 registration fee to join our brave team of skydivers. \n\n\nFAQs\nWhat’s it like?\nA tandem skydive is the easiest and most popular of all skydives. It requires only 30 minutes of training before you then jump strapped to your instructor! The BPA (British Parachute Association) qualified tandem instructor does all the hard work for you\, allowing you to enjoy the exhilarating feeling of flying through the clouds from over 10\,000 feet at up to 120 mph! It is a truly unforgettable experience. \nWhat does the jump involve?\n\nJump and training completed in one day\nHarnessed to an experienced parachute instructor at all times\nFreefall down to 5\,000 feet – falling through the air at 120 mph!\nLanding controlled by your instructor\nCertificate to prove that you have completed a ‘two-mile high’ Tandem Skydive!\n\nWhat COVID-19 safety measures are in place?\nIn accordance with government guidelines\, all Skyline operated airfields will have strict safety measures in place to protect everyone attending their sites. \n\nAre there any restrictions?\n\nTo take part in a skydive you must be aged 16 or above. \nYou’ll be required to sign a medical form before you jump declaring your fitness to take part – this will be sent to you once you have reserved a place. Pre-existing medical conditions don’t mean you won’t be able to take part\, but if you suffer from any of the conditions listed on the form you’ll need your doctor to agree it’s safe for you to take part. Your doctor will need to complete a separate form found here. \nEach airfield has its own maximum weight limit for taking part details con this can be found here. \nWhat’s included?\nYou’ll receive a welcome pack\, including an exclusive\, branded t-shirt to wear on the day as well as unlimited support from our events team. \nWhat is the cost?\nYou can raise money for the TSA and jump for FREE! All you need to do is raise a minimum of £395 for the TSA! \nThe £395 Minimum sponsorship then covers the refund of your deposit\, event costs and a small donation to the TSA. Any money raise in excess of the minimum amount comes direct to the TSA. \n\nWe ask you make it clear to anyone you ask for a donation that event cost will be subtracted from sponsorship money.  \n\nHow  do you book?\n\nClick BOOK NOW  and enter your details. Here you’ll need to select your airfield and a couple of dates you can do. If you aren’t sure of your closest airfield just take a look at the airfield map.\nThere’s a £70 deposit required to book in\, which you can choose to redeem from cash sponsors once you have reached the £395 target or pay this yourself.\nOnce you are booked you can start fundraising! DESCRIPTION:Tea & SCones for TSC\nIt doesn’t matter when you you pop the kettle on but please do!\nGet your oven gloves ready and the tea pot out and organise a TSC community tea party \nTea & SCones for TSC\, our flagship event focused on baking (or just grabbing a biscuit) and having a brew\, all to raise funds to help improve lives in the TSC community\, went virtual last year for the first time. It was such a great success that for 2021\, at a time when we’re all keen to connect with others\, we’re doing it again! \nWhere should I hold my Tea & SCones event?\nYou can host your event anywhere – as long as you are following local government guidelines and restrictions. This might mean that you can host something in a garden\, or even virtually through Facebook\, WhatsApp or Zoom. \nSocially distanced event – Download our fundraising guide with some top tips\, but we ask everyone to make sure they follow local guidelines around social distancing. \nVirtual Tea and SCones event – Download our fundraising guide on how to make your virtual event a success – and even better when everyone does their own washing up! \nWhat’s new for 2021?\nWe are delighted to announce that we have a ‘Cuppa Quiz’. We’ve got together with some members of the TSC community to create a quiz ready for your Tea & SCones event! Whether you’re hosting an event in-person (in line with social distance guidelines) or virtually\, you can gather your guests for a quiz! DESCRIPTION:Jeans for Genes\nJeans for Genes Day is an annual fundraising campaign by Genetic Disorders UK\, the national charity that supports individuals and families affected by genetic disorders.\nThe Tuberous Sclerosis Association (TSA) are a proud partner of Genetic Disorders UK\, meaning that you can get involved in Jeans for Genes and help raise funds and awareness to support people affected by Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC)! \nWhat is Jeans for Genes Day?\nBetween Monday 14 – Sunday 20 September 2020\, thousands of people around the UK help raise funds for people affected by genetic disorders by asking schools\, workplaces or community groups to wear jeans for the week. \nIf you get involved on behalf of the TSA\, half of the proceeds that you raise will go to the TSA!* \n*Jeans for Genes Day is a fundraising initiative organised by the UK Genetic Disorders Partnership Network. We are a member of the Partnership\, so if you organise for your school or workplace to hold a Jeans for Genes day and they haven’t held one in the last three years\, the Tuberous Sclerosis Association receives 50% of the money raised. It’s as simple as that! \nHow to register for Jeans for Genes and raise money for people living with TSC\nTo ensure that the Tuberous Sclerosis Association receives 50% of the money you raise\, just follow these three simple instructions: \n\nSign-up and order your fundraising pack from the Jeans for Genes website here\nFill in the free fundraising pack form on the Jeans for Genes website\nFor the question “Are you affiliated to one of our partners?” choose the Tuberous Sclerosis Association from the drop-down menu.\n\nThis ensures that the TSA and Jeans for Genes know that you want to fundraise for us! \nOnce you’ve collected those fantastic funds\, just send them back to Jeans for Genes and they’ll take it from there. \nRemember to let us know about your fundraising\nDon’t forget to tell us about your brilliant Jeans for Genes event\, so that our fundraising team can help to support you.
