Pre-existing medical conditions don’t mean you won’t be able to take part\, but if you suffer from any of the conditions listed on the form you’ll need your doctor to agree it’s safe for you to take part. Your doctor will need to complete a separate form found here. \nEach airfield has its own maximum weight limit for taking part details con this can be found here. \nWhat’s included?\nYou’ll receive a welcome pack\, including an exclusive\, branded t-shirt to wear on the day as well as unlimited support from our events team. \nWhat is the cost?\nYou can raise money for the TSA and jump for FREE! All you need to do is raise a minimum of £395 for the TSA! \nThe £395 Minimum sponsorship then covers the refund of your deposit\, event costs and a small donation to the TSA. Any money raise in excess of the minimum amount comes direct to the TSA. \n\nWe ask you make it clear to anyone you ask for a donation that event cost will be subtracted from sponsorship money.  \n\nHow  do you book?\n\nClick BOOK NOW  and enter your details. Here you’ll need to select your airfield and a couple of dates you can do. If you aren’t sure of your closest airfield just take a look at the airfield map.\nThere’s a £70 deposit required to book in\, which you can choose to redeem from cash sponsors once you have reached the £395 target or pay this yourself.\nOnce you are booked you can start fundraising! Visit www.justgiving.co.uk/tuberous and create your fundraising page.  Once made\, tell everyone about your parachute challenge and why you’re supporting the TSA – share your story on social media\, emails\, cards\, letters and by phone! It all helps!\n\n\nHave your own place?\nIf you’ve already arranged and paid for your own skydive\, we’d still love to welcome you to our skydiving team. SUMMARY:TSC and music therapy: Session 2
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a special series of virtual events\, where we embrace the power of music therapy for children in the TSC community \n \nMusic therapy is a recognised health and therapeutic intervention\, with the power of music having the potential to improve all areas of health and wellbeing. In a series of four free virtual events during November 2022\, the TSA welcomes Nordoff Robbins – the UK’s largest music therapy charity – and their talented musicians to support the development and wellbeing of children living with TSC. \nWhether you’ve been to music therapy classes before or if this is your first time\, you’ll be warmly welcomed. Don’t worry if you’re not a musician yourself – there’s no experience required! \nThe four FREE music therapy sessions\, exclusively for the TSC community\, will take place Wednesday 6pm – 7pm 2\, 9\, 16 and 23 November. \nMore about Nordoff Robbins \nAs the UK’s largest music therapy charity\, we stand for music and believe in the value of music for all people in our society. In particular\, we use the power of music to enrich the lives of people affected by life-limiting physical and mental illness\, disabilities or feelings of isolation. We provide a range of different sessions for children and adults of all ages in our centres across the UK – from specialised one-to-one music therapy to shared sessions for groups of different sizes and formats. We also work in partnership with over 280 organisations to bring music therapy to as many vulnerable people who could benefit from it as possible. These include schools\, care homes\, hospices\, hospitals\, mental health services\, and brain injury units. \nMore about the session leader\, Jo Humphreys\, BMus MMT (NR) \nJo qualified as a music therapist in 2013 after completing the Master of Music Therapy programme at the Nordoff Robbins London Centre and has worked as a music therapist at Nordoff Robbins ever since. She has been lucky enough to meet and make music with a diverse range of children and adults in special and mainstream schools\, hospitals\, community settings and more recently\, online. In 2016 she established the first Nordoff Robbins work in South Wales and now supports a growing team of therapists across South Wales and the Southwest of England. She is passionate about working with people to realise their musical potential\, and make the social\, cognitive\, physical and emotional benefits of music accessible to everyone. \nFor any questions or comments\, contact support@tuberous-sclerosis.org.
